About Singing
Is Easy, Basic Foundation Series |
I've
heard that Singing is Easy is the official
manual for the Sing Smart, Not Hard™
Vocal Training method. What does that
mean?
Sing
Smart, Not Hard™ is a revolutionary,
solution-oriented vocal training method
created by Yvonne DeBandi. The method
uses systematic, step-by-step lessons
known as the Ten Steps to Singing Success™
and is very effective at quickly developing
the various individual skills associated
with singing. Once each skill is strong
enough to do its job, coordination and
application during singing performance
is easy. There are other Sing Smart Training
Tools available, but the Singing is Easy
manual and audio CDs is the official
detailed source. To learn more
please visit http://SingSmart.com.
Do I really
get the software download immediately
upon purchase?
Yes.
Because Vocal Coach Yvonne is a member
of the A2Z Educational Network, program
sales are offered through the A2Z
Singing Voice Lessons secure online
music store. If you pay by credit
card (or PayPal) and your order is approved,
you will receive an invoice on your
screen and at the e-mail address provided.
On that invoice you will see an encrypted
link providing the download of the product
your ordered. Download that link and
follow the instructions provided in
the email for installation and access.
The
second edition software is designed
in Macromedia Flash and requires Flash
Player. For Windows operating systems,
the player is built into the software
installation. Mac users may have to

I buy with a check or money order?
Yes.

Can
you really learn to sing online or with
product training?
Absolutely! You can make great progress
as a singer using a quality online training
program. We can assure you this
program provides everything you need.
Need
written instruction to help you grasp
the concepts? Got it.
Need diagrams and pictures to understand
how it works? Got it.
Need audio instruction because you don't
like to read? Got it.
Need a variety of vocal exercises to follow
your growth? Got it.
Need coaching support to help you get
past those difficult times? Got
it.
Need someone to "listen" to your voice
to monitor improvement? Got it.
Need to learn basic music theory in addition
to singing? Got it!
Whoever
says you can't learn to sing, or improve
your voice with online training has never
tried the SINGING IS EASY - BASIC FOUNDATION
SERIES. This program has met nothing
but success as a home study program, professional
coaching tool, teaching guide/music curriculum
and an online training course.
What
is the best way to use this singing course?
This
course is loaded with detailed vocal training,
but it is easy to follow and understand.
Each lesson provides you with a foundation
concept that will guide you on your way
to being the best singer you can be.
We teach you the concept, apply it to
a specific vocal exercise, and then work
to help you apply those concepts to your
every day singing - no matter what style
of music that may be.
We
suggest you choose at least three songs
that you would like to sing better by
the end of this course. There's a Goal
Worksheet
to help you keep track of your progress,
and a Vocal
Practice Log to help highlight
areas where you would like to see additional
improvement. Don't forget to use
the "Communicate with Coach" forms provided
at the end of each training session.
If
I order the download, can I burn a practice
CD on my computer?
Absolutely.
This software is designed to suit all
of your needs. To record the audio files
from the software interface you will need
a sound card and software (like Sound
Forge) that allows you to record. Choose
the exercise variations you need and press
them to your own practice CD.
This
license allows for your personal use only.
Please do not distribute these personal
audio CDs or software without written
permission from the author
or publisher.
What
is the difference between the First Edition
and the Second Edition software?
The
second edition
software is an update in both information
and technology. The full course instruction
has been expanded to include questions
and answers received from students and
additional information on lesson topics.
This software is designed in Macromedia
Flash and is interactive, including quizzes
on vocal mechanic concepts that check
your answers for you! How much do you
really know about vocal mechanics?
The
first edition software
was originally released in 2001 and continues
to be a thorough curriculum. At the request
of students with slower internet connections,
Coach Yvonne has opted to keep this edition
available for individual lesson downloads
only. If you need lessons divided into
10-15 MB downloads, this is the option
for you. The first edition is built using
HTML language and .mp3 audio files.
What
if I have trouble and need assistance
with the course material?
Part
of what makes this program so unique is
the coaching support. If you are
having trouble, visit us on the messageboard. For
those desiring more personal attention
please consider the Online Membership
program. Personal
and group vocal coaching is also offered
in the Greater Orlando and Tampa, Florida
areas. Additional support is offered through
Vocal Coach Yvonne's official site, http://SingSmart.com
Is
it really necessary to do scales and vocal
exercises to sing well?
Yes. Understanding how basic sounds are
created, beyond our spoken language, is
imperative. Singers must condition their
voice (and the related muscles) if they
wish to sing well. Just like a runner
must train their bodies to run repeatedly
around the track before the big race;
singers must condition and train their
instruments to perform consistently as
well. There are many ways to exercise
and develop your voice. This course is
an organized curriculum designed to make
that development easy and fun!
Once you understand what you are trying
to accomplish and why, the actions don't
appear to be so strange or so difficult.
Do
I need a teacher to learn to sing?
Personal training with qualified educators
is never a bad idea and always encouraged.
Unfortunately it is not always easy to
find such a teacher and you must take
matters into your own hands. This course
was designed with you in mind.
You will learn to become accountable for
your own vocal development. This easy
step-by-step method allows every singer
to develop their optimal singing voice.
Different exercise variations are provided
to accomodate all singing skill levels
and ranges.
Do you really accept sound samples from
MEMBERS for FREE?
We
sure do! Annual membership offers
acceptance of vocal samples up to six
times a year, unless more often is needed
for your personal situation. Each sample
submittal is reviewed thoroughly and an
assignment is designed just for you to
help you reach your next level of development.
Each vocal submittal is unlimited in size
and the coach often requests ten or more
samples (including song performance and
vocal exercises). Responses are generally
received between 2-15 days, but if you
catch the coach online, sometimes it's
only moments!
We
rate the quality of the actual sound samples
on a scale from one to ten. If your sample
comes to us with a quality lower than
five, it will not be evaluated. It is
impossible for us to give sound advice
on a voice performance when we are constantly
distracted by the quality of the recording.
We recommend your recording sample be
a compressed .wav (zipped), .mp3 or Real
Media.
Member
submissions will be expected to follow
the assignments and requests given, although
additional song performances are accepted.
We prefer to receive recordings of the
same songs at least twice as it is helpful
to hear the initial song recordings and
then follow-up performances as you work
to apply our singing training and advice.
